Got Your 6 Welcomes Cathleen Pearl as Director of Development

U.S. Navy, Air National Guard vet to lead group's fundraising efforts

WASHINGTON (April 17, 2017) — The veteran empowerment organization Got Your 6 today welcomed Cathleen Pearl as its Director of Development. In her role, Pearl will support the group’s fundraising, cause marketing, and overall development efforts.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Cathleen to the Got Your 6 team as we continue to change the way veterans are perceived by the rest of the nation,” said Bill Rausch, executive director of Got Your 6. “America’s veterans are leaders, team builders, and problem solvers, and no one exemplifies those qualities better than Cathleen. Not only is she well respected in D.C. and across the country within the veterans community, she’s a values-based leader who understands the power of creating genuine and trusted relationships with our supporters and funders. By building partnerships based on shared values and purpose, Cathleen will help Got Your 6 continue to grow while increasing our impact as we empower our transitioning veterans to lead in their communities across America.”

Prior to joining the team, Pearl led development and programmatic initiatives at the National Defense University Foundation located on historic Ft. McNair in Washington, D.C. She developed her passion for improving community understanding of military service, veterans issues, and the role of women in national security while serving as the Deputy Director of the National Guard Educational Foundation on Capitol Hill, 2010-2012.

Pearl’s military career includes five years active duty in the United States Navy followed by six years in the Air National Guard. Her educational background includes a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies from New York University. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Missouri- St. Louis where she currently serves as a member of the Chancellor’s Council. A proud mother of three, Cathleen and her family reside in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
